Privacy Policy — PostReady IG

PostReady IG (“we”, “the app”) helps you prepare photos and videos for upload to social media. This policy explains what data we handle and how. The app is not affiliated with Meta or Instagram.

1. Data we process

• Photos and videos you select — processed on your device to resize, crop, adjust, watermark (free tier), or compress. We do not upload your media to our servers.
• Camera — used only when you choose to take a photo in the app.
• Local settings — preferences (theme, GPS strip option, composition guide), Pro entitlement flag, and weekly free-tier quotas stored on-device via Android DataStore.
• Compression history — optional local log of past exports stored in an on-device database (Room). It stays on your phone.
• On-device ML — Google ML Kit face/object detection may run locally for smart crop. Inference happens on-device; images are not sent to Google for this feature by the app.

2. Network use

• Optional Instagram size-spec update — if you tap “Update specs”, the app may download a public JSON config over HTTPS from GitHub Pages.
• Google Play Billing — purchases and subscription status are handled by Google Play. Google’s own privacy policy applies to payment data.
• We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or crash reporters in the current app build.

3. Permissions

• Internet — optional remote spec updates and Play Billing.
• Camera — only for in-app capture.
• Photos / storage (legacy Android) — access is primarily via the system Photo Picker / share intents; older Android versions may require storage permissions to save exports.

4. Subscriptions

Pro is a Google Play subscription (pro_monthly). Billing, cancellation, and refunds are managed by Google Play. Manage or cancel in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.

5. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the app if you are under the age required by your local law for such services without a parent/guardian.

7. Changes

We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. The in-app copy and any hosted URL will show the latest “Last updated” date.
